A Veiled Counterpoint to the Glass Towers of Gurugram

53 Silver Oaks | Gurugram

A corporate guest house located on a rectangular plot in Gurugram, 53 Silver Oaks offers a large public space and a combination of several kinds of guest rooms. The entryway leads to a subterranean space that houses the public area, while the suites and rooms are organised around a central vertical movement core. The site mandated that no windows could overlook either of the long sides. To address this, the building’s skin is composed of perforated panels that allow in light while maintaining the required privacy. The mesh creates a uniform envelope around the structure, coalescing into an overall composition that distinguishes the building from the glass towers of Gurugram.
