The Headquarters of Delhivery in Goa champions the idea of a new-age, self-sufficient workspace. Utilising an existing warehouse on an elongated tract of land, Phase I of the project involves the resource-efficient redevelopment of the industrial structure into an open-plan workspace with minimal and functional interiors. The outdated asbestos roof is revamped with a modern pre-insulated profile sheet and a central skylight installed along the ridge. The contemporary setting is also infused with light shelves and a courtyard to create bright and airy spaces. The workspace is also augmented by a courtyard that enables visual connection across the floors while also adding a refreshing touch of greenery to the interior space.
In alignment with the company’s ethos of fostering interactivity and collaboration, the two-story workspace seamlessly integrates a blend of individual workstations and communal tables conducive to brainstorming and group sessions, and specialised drone labs. Finished in a coat of bright red paint, the company’s signature colour, the building forms a recognisable landmark and a beacon of innovation in the area.
Phase 2 of the project extends into the rest of the land by creating an events block and a parking area with an elevated landscaped terrace. It is sectioned into three levels—a lower ground floor, a ground floor and terrace, and a mezzanine level. The mezzanine floor of the events block is interlinked with the workspace block through an angled bridge. Designed to host various events and even drone testing, the block is also flexibly used as a workspace with workstations placed along the seating. The produce grown on the terrace can be used in the workspace eateries, and the lower ground floor gym contributes to the employee’s physical well-being. These facilities contribute to an all-encompassing environment that combines eating, living and playing.
